#4 Why inner beauty is more important?

Back during my gradeschool days, I had a crush on this certain girl. I had a crush on her for 7 years. Starting from grade one to grade seven. She wasn't the most beautiful girl there is. She didn't have the hourglass body nor that angelic face. To some of my classmates, those definitions were true. But to me it was all different. I noticed that my friends wasn't really attracted to her. The reason was because they do not find her physically attractive. I noticed that the only thing they noticed was her physical beauty. Me on the other hand focused more on her inner beauty. The reason why I liked her for that long is because of her attitude. She was always positive, she was always kind, and she was always helpful. Because of her attitude, to me, she became very attractive. My classmates didn't know any of her attitude. They focused more on the outer beauty than the inner beauty.

I came upon an article which was found in lovepanky.com entitled "Why is Inner Beauty More Important Than Outer Beauty?which was written by Jessica Dawson. In the article, she defined beauty as something

that's experienced through a person’s character rather than by appearances. What she meant by this is that inner beauty cannot be seen the first time you see a person. It cannot be presented to you in just one glance. You have to experience it first. It will take a while to actually see a persons inner beauty. For you to see their inner beauty, you have to get to know them. In that process you will find real beauty. When you find their real beauty, they become more attractive to you.

She also mentioned in her article that almost all the time, we notice first a persons physical appearance. We have over looked the true effort of inner beauty and given all the credit to outer beauty. In short, most of the time, we judge a book by its cover. We look at its cover first, thinking that if the cover is ugly, the story is also ugly. We look past the content of the book. We are missing what truly makes something beautiful; it's content. It is somewhat hard to accept. We still have a chance to change all this. But it must start with our self.

"If you feel beautiful, your own self belief and confidence brings out a glow of beauty that no outer beauty can compete with." - Jessica Dawson

Your own attitude defines your beauty. Having a positive attitude projects a positive image and a beautiful one. Even if you have an amazing body and a beautiful face, if you have the worst attitude man could ever come up with, you'll look always unappealing to almost everyone. For people who doesn't have an amazing body and facial feautures, as long you a positive attitude, you'll be admired by many. Just look at Nick Vujicic. He was born without limbs but that didn't stop him from being married to the girl of dreams. He's now living a happy life.

Remember, having a beautiful body and a very angelic face doesn't make you a hundred percent attractive. It's not always the outer beauty that needs to be looked at. The moment someone notices how ugly your attitude is, you will be despised by many. Change your attitude. Make it a positive because if you have positive attitude, you'll have a positive image. If you have a positive image, the more you will be admired by many. I myself noticed that with another crush of mine. She was very beautiful but the moment I got to know her, her beauty faded away into oblivion. I never looked at her the same way again. Remember, always have a positive attitude. That will project your real beauty.
